Samsung Notice: End of Sale for OfficeServ and SCM Products
We, along with all other Samsung Dealers nationwide, were informed late last week that Samsung Electronics America will be ceasing the sale of all OfficeServ, SCM, and related telephones and equipment on September 30, 2019. Although we will be able to order new equipment up until 9/30/2019, I do expect new equipment to be in short supply. Samsung will continue to provide technical support to its dealers until 9/30/2021. The last day for any Samsung warranties will be 9/30/2024.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR DCP Services?
As of receipt of the Samsung notice, we will no longer be quoting or installing new Samsung systems, yet we will continue to provide support on Samsung systems as long as possible.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN GOING FORWARD?
If you have any need for new hardware or licensing purchases, then we should plan for that prior to their cutoff date of 9/30/2019. We strongly recommend if you do have any needs that we order them sooner, rather than later. As noted, we do expect new equipment to start being in short supply prior to the cutoff date.
DO I NEED TO REPLACE MY SYSTEM NOW?
It is Samsung advising that they will be ending manufacture and support of these products. If you are planning a move, expansion or upgrade, please reach out to us to discuss your options.
